The McNairy Library of the Greensboro Public Library has invited Dr. Hines-Gaither to host a film discussion on the work of anti-lynching & women's rights advocate Ida B. Wells-Barnett.
Chapel Hill Friends Meeting has invited Dr. Hines-Gaither to present her research on the complicated legacy of Quakers and Slavery. Her research interrogates the one-dimensional legacy of Quaker Abolitionism.
Dr. Hines-Gaither will present at the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Annual Convention in Washington DC.
Dr. Hines-Gaither will guest lecturer at the University of NC at Greensboro in the IGS 333 course titled International and Global Studies. The course focuses on examining the lives of Afro-Latinos from a historical and sociological perspective during the colonial period and contemporary times.
Dr. Hines-Gaither will present with a panel at the Universities Studying Slavery Conference
