We hired Dr. Hines-Gaither to help our company become educated on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to create a culture of inclusion that will be embedded in everything we do. From the moment she arrived at Kaplan to the day of her last training session 3 months later, Dr. Hines-Gaither was a force for positive change. She successfully educated a culturally diverse workplace and got us all inspired to work together toward a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program. She conducted dozens of focus groups, surveys, trainings, and individual conversations that added valuable data to her recommendations. She also pulled in other subject matter experts to help us become more equitable in other aspects of our business. She has changed my life personally, and changed our business, which will impact the communities we serve. Thank you, Dr. Hines-Gaither! We look forward to working with you again.
Dr. Hines-Gaither is an experienced and outstanding diversity, equity, and inclusion practitioner and scholar. I have the deepest admiration for how she delivers difficult, uncomfortable, but crucial conversations in such a way that creates a Brave Space environment for all. She speaks truth to her work and creates spaces for others to speak their truths. I am honored and privileged to call her a colleague and friend. Our profession is better because of Dr. Hines-Gaither.
I gained a lot of insight and patience from watching the seminar of Dr. Hines-Gaither [on Navigating Difficult Dialogues]. Working in a minority based high school as a non-minority teacher, it is often assumed that I am prejudiced before opening my month. Dr. Hines-Gaither encourages us all to continue to be open to dialogue and humility as we deal with difficult issues in our school environment, as well as giving practical examples to apply the material she shares. She shares ways to give everyone a voice in the discussion and a vocabulary that is less intimidating for all. I heartily encourage anyone to listen, both teachers and administrators, to her presentation.
